Paramaribo, Suriname – Photos
May 3, 2007
I’m posting a ton of photos today. I’d love to hear what you think
All photos are able to be enlarged by clicking

Countryside on the road to our house.

Hindu Temple down the road from our house.

My favorite plant in our yard. The Japanese plant them in their gardens to ward off evil spirts.

Banana tree plant in our yard. The bananas here are awesome.

Some sort of Brazilian tree frog, it’s noisy as hell.

Some vultures were circling our yard for about an hour. I have no idea why.

One of about 15 lizards I see every morning on my back porch. They’re fast as hell when they run.

This is our new puppy Zero, he’s so tiny.

I was just messing around in a small cafe downtown.

Lelydorp, Suriname – Sorry it seems to have screwed up while I was resizing it.

Do you know if adoption by foreigners is possible there? I work for an adoption agency and saw your comments about the many children in orphanages—but often foreigners can’t adopt these children even though they really need homes.
